  • COP17 in Yerevan. October 19 to 30, 2026

    From October 19 to 30, 2026, Yerevan will host the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP17).

    The conference will bring together government representatives, international organizations, scientists, experts, civil society, youth and private-sector representatives from around the world. Armenia will become the center of international discussions on biodiversity and nature conservation for almost two weeks.

    📍 Where will COP17 take place?

    The event will use two main zones in Yerevan:

    Blue Zone — Meridian Expo and Event Center
    1 Voskerichneri Street, Yerevan

    This will be the main official conference and negotiation venue. It will host plenary sessions, high-level meetings, ministerial discussions, thematic round tables and negotiations.

    Access to the Blue Zone is limited to accredited participants.

    Green Zone — Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex
    Tsitsernakaberd Park, Yerevan

    The Green Zone will be open to the public and will offer exhibitions, presentations, interactive installations, discussions, film screenings and cultural events connected with environmental protection and biodiversity.

    Admission to the Green Zone will be free, although registration may be required for some activities.

    🌿 What will COP17 focus on?

    One of the key objectives of COP17 will be to review the progress made in implementing the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, adopted in 2022.

    The discussions will cover biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration, sustainable use of natural resources, environmental financing and international cooperation.

    For visitors to Yerevan, COP17 will also mean a wide range of public events, exhibitions and cultural activities taking place around the city.

  • James Cameron in Yerevan. November 23, 2026

    On November 23, 2026, Yerevan will welcome one of the most famous filmmakers in the world — James Cameron, director of Titanic, Avatar, The Terminator and Aliens.

    The special event “In Conversation with James Cameron: A Cinema Legend, Live in Yerevan” will give the audience an opportunity to meet the filmmaker in person and hear about his career, filmmaking, creativity, technology and the ideas behind some of the most influential films in modern cinema.

    From November 20 to 22, 2026, Yerevan will host DIGITEC 2026, one of Armenia's major technology events.

    This year's event focuses on Artificial Intelligence and brings together technology companies, startups, investors, international speakers and business representatives from Armenia and abroad.

    On March 20, 2027, the legendary Finnish rock band The Rasmus will perform in Yerevan for the first time.

    The band is internationally known for hits such as “In the Shadows,” “First Day of My Life,” “Sail Away” and “Livin' in a World Without You.”

    The Yerevan concert will also feature songs from the band's latest album WEIRDOS, combining new material with some of the band's best-known tracks.
